Rooted in Pinole

I come from a family of working-class immigrants who came to this country in search of opportunity. My family moved to Pinole twenty years ago, and it is the place I call home. After attending Pinole Valley High School, I continued my education at UC Berkeley and studied political science.

My goal is to serve and improve the same community I grew up in. Like many of you, I drive these streets every day, and I understand what issues affect our city the most. My family chose Pinole for its small-town charm, which remains vibrant in its diversity. Pinole gave me the tools to succeed, and its focus on community inspired me to give back through public service. Pinole continues to be a great place to raise a family, and I plan to ensure the livelihood of its residents.

I am going to strive for our city to have the best possible quality of life so everyone can feel like Pinole is their home, just the way I do.

I would be honored and privileged to represent the City of Pinole.

Rooted in Service

After college, I started my career working in the California State Senate, working for former State Senator Nancy Skinner and State Senator Jesse Arreguín. These roles taught me the value of public service, the importance of showing up for your community, and allowed me to build connections with local leaders across our region.

I have also had the privilege of involving myself in the city's local government by serving on the City's Planning Commission for the past three years, and as the youngest chair of the Commission in the city's history. My experience has allowed me to immerse myself in government while advocating for our city and learning how to get things done.

Fighting for Our Community

If elected to the City Council, my goal is to represent everyone in Pinole and actively listen to our community's needs. My plan is to put Pinole first and ensure the City is serving its residents. Whether that means working to fix roads, parks, or meeting our public safety needs. I will work to ensure the City continues to best serve its residents and make Pinole an even better place to live.

As a son of immigrants, I witnessed the struggles that working families in Pinole face. I believe in uplifting the voices of marginalized communities and embracing the strength of our diversity. Social justice and equity are at the core of my values and what I believe in.
